Now you bring it together. The tool is a classic – the Business Model Canvas, your business model on one page – but with two things built in: your why from step 1 at the top, and the six perspectives as a health check along the bottom. So that the place, nature, time and you yourself become part of the strategy – not an afterthought.
Start with the why line: write in the sentence from the compass. Everything else on the canvas has to hold together with it.
Nine blocks, seen with regenerative eyes
The canvas has nine blocks. Fill them in as usual – but with the questions angled the right way:
- Offer – what do we solve, for whom – and how does it contribute to vitality, not just "less harm"?
- Customers – who are we actually for? Who nearby, who further away? (The customer segments from the marketing module slot straight in here.)
- Customer relationships – what relationship do we want to build – and does the customer want it, with us?
- Distribution – how does the offer reach them, and what does it cost in journeys, packaging and time?
- Partners – who do we need: suppliers, neighbours, other producers? (This is where your collaborations from the previous step land.)
- Activities – what do we actually have to do to create the offer?
- Resources – what do we build on: land, knowledge, craft, time, energy?
- Costs – what does the business cost – in money, but also in time, body and place?
- Income – what do we need to earn to manage and be well – not to maximise turnover? (You have the number from Keeping track.)
The health check: the seven perspectives as a review
Once the blocks are filled in, go through the health check at the bottom of the canvas – one perspective at a time, a line of notes per box. They don't need to be complete answers; what stirs is enough:
- The ecosystem – how does the business model relate to the nature around us: resource or relationship?
- Impact – do we only contribute to less harm, or actively to recovery and diversity?
- The place – is the model rooted here, or would it work anywhere?
- Time – are we building for the quarter, or for the season, the year, the generation?
- The self – does this model hold for you, over time? Can you live in it?
- Success – what does the model count as successful, beyond the income line?
- Purpose – what larger need does the whole model actually answer?
When you're done: the canvas

Your direction
The canvas is the map – the direction is yours to choose. Three things to write down before you leave the module:
- Your 1–2 perspectives from the health check – the ones where a shift would mean the most.
- Your why sentence – it already sits at the top of the canvas. Bring it to the brand module's golden circle – it is the same question, and there it becomes the foundation of the whole brand.
- Your first small step – something you can do this month.
The rest of the journey
From here, every module is the same stance applied to one area: Team & family (perspective 5 – the self and who you are together), Brand (your why becomes story), Keeping track of your business (perspectives 4 and 6 – time and what counts), Marketing and Sales (the customers, the channels and the price – with the premium for what makes you special).
Go where the need is greatest. You carry the compass with you.
